Trimble Business Center v5.20 : Corridor : Slope/Elevation direction tip

I created a template with a Slope/Elevation for the left side. Desired slope direction was towards the left side no further actions required.
I mirrored it to the right. And the Slope/Elevation direction was towards left though it should be to the right.
I got almost crazy trying to find what was going on.
 
Finally i found the solution.
By default the slope is towards the left side. To set it to the right the point that is attached to must have a positive offset from its previous one! If it is vertical a 0.00001 value is enough to turn the set the direction to the right.
 
Trimble should mention this at the manual. I lost 7 hours from my work trying to find a solution.
 
This problem was reported to a Trimble forum and was answered by Alan Sharp. The solution was the same. I should have checked there from the very first time.

Leica Infrastructure Link multiple baseline corridor export

In case a Corridor consists of more than one Baselines based on different Alignments then all Feature Lines checked in whatever Baseline are exported but only the first Baseline Alignment is exported ! All other are ignored ! Finally only one Layer is created for the entire Corridor.
So it is not possible to set the appropriate Centerline when in RoadRunner.

X-Change was capable of producing multiple Layers.

So it is crucial to work only with X-Change and up to Civil 3D 2016
or
create mutiple Corridors, one for each Baseline
or
do multiple HeXML exports having checked only one Baseline per session but it does not work

Civil 3D 2017 : corridor endless out of date status finally missing after saving drawing

My problem was even worse not just Rebuild status always on.
 
Immediatelly after saving dwg...
 
...an alignment, some feature lines and the corridor that is built on them were lost. Just not existing anymore in prospector and screen !
Undoing resurrected them !
 
OR
...the above mentioned alignment was visible but not existing in the prospector ! I could right click on it and handle it although it was a...ghost ! Corridor reported it as its baseline !
If my next action was...
...moving it siteless the object became visible to prospector and everything became normal !
...saving dwg again, alignment became invisible and corridor reported that had no baselines ! Totally lost. Single undo does nothing. Second undo ressurects corridor object and the graph but not the alignment object to the prospector.
 
Had to find a solution since saving and loosing them was not an option and ofcourse keeping it open until a solution was found in the future is impossimble (on the way to madness and what could i say to my supervisors expecting from me to finish just a simple job)
 
I was lucky enough to find out that setting the alignment to whatever site, new or existing with whatever name is the caution to loose it and the corridor that is attached to it and also the feature lines.
 
Moving to site none (siteless) , rebuilt status clears after rebuilding and saving works fine !
 
I attach the dwg. First import in an empty dwg the also zipped subassemblies and then open the dwg.
The objects i mentioned above are...
alignment named...EDL002B240_TKV
corridor named...EDL002B240_TKV
feature lines...both siteless
Try move them to existing site or a new one and then rebuild. Rebuild status remains on whatever i do.
Finally try saving dwg twice.

Civil 3D corridor export feature lines tip : Baseline Profile layer locked

I have used Corridor feature lines export to Polylines, Alignments with profiles and Profiles lots of times.
But this time nothing worked right. All elevations were not absolute but relative to baseline profile not matter what trick i tried.
Finally i found out that if profile baseline layer is locked then all elevations exported, no matter what method used, are relative to this profile, not absolute!

Not as single mention in C3D help. Not a single relative result in Google Search. Am i the first one to fall into this situation ? I do not think so.
Should autodesk warn users about this behaviour ?

Thanks God, i found that just one step before losing my mind and only after several hours stall!
So the damage is done. Other partners, that do not know anything about C3D, think that i am too slow and that simple projects are difficult for me. Yeah...if you say so...

Civil 3D 2014 : Corridor surfaces tips and workarounds

Creating corridor surfaces can be done by two main ways.
Feature lines and Links.

When created by links there are many cases that civil 3d jump from links to points that do not belong to those links.
So the best way to create a correct surface is to use feature lines.
But in this case when creating custom subassemblies you must assign codes to all points for all cases.
Another disadvantage is that there are cases that surfaces may end to points with various coding.

Another serious issue has to do with boundaries.
Selecting automatic corridor edges in most cases gives a wrong boundary.
Interactive works fine.
By object works fine.
The best of all is to select which feature lines to use.But it can not be used for all cases.

Civil 3D 2014 intersection corridor surfaces. Multiple baselines, boundaries, angled edges and Trimble Link

Two roads end in agle side by side to a third road.
I put them all in one corridor. I used three different baselines.

Trimble Link works only with corridor surfaces. So i had to create surfaces.
I tried both Feature Lines and Links.
In both cases surface was created only for the first baseline.
To create surface for the second one i had to uncheck the first baseline and so on.

Well, i did it this way.
I kept checked only the desired one. I created the surface. No matter Feature or Links the only way to get a correct boundary was to use the Interactive method.
I then tried to create a surface for another baseline keeping only this one checked. Everything went fine. I tried to revert to the previous one and everything got a mesh. I had to recreate the surface from scratch. Even worse the so painfull to create boundary.

So finally although the best way to create Cross Sections at intersections is to use a single Corridor with multiple baselines you cannot create multiple surfaces for Trimble Link and keep them correct.
You have to make seperate corridors.
Afterwards you have to create surfaces to use them in other corridor cross sections.

Finally i tried to create corridor surfaces using interactive boundaries. Ok, i did it. I exported the surface using Trimble Link. I loaded the DC file to Trimble GeoOffice. The angled part was wrong! In one case while importing the DC file i got a warning message. So angled corridor surface finish is possible. But it is useless for Trimble Link.

The whole idea i had was to create a total eg asfalt corridor surface and export it to Trimble. Bummer.

Leica X-Change and Civil 3D 2014 : Offset subassemblies not exported

Well, i created a corridor with some offset assemblies.
When exporting corridor to a Leica Road Job using Toolbox->Export to job->Corridor only main assembly codes were exported.
Damn. At least before going on site i used the simulator and found this disadvantage.
